It's funny. I haven't done a puzzle outside of maybe a preschool puzzle with some kiddos in my life in probably... 15+ years. But having now completed my second week of Social Distancing in what is now an empty house, I found myself thinking about puzzles the other night.
My first thought was, I wonder if the library loans them out? Because I really don't want to waste my money on a puzzle. But, the libraries are closed. And then literally the next day, a friend of mine posted on Facebook that she had about 50 puzzles that she would like to share with her family & friends. Perfect! She was doing some Spring Cleaning & asked that we either keep them & pass them on to someone else. Acts like this show how even through Social Distancing, we can still be there for one another. I will be picking a couple puzzles up on my walk this afternoon.
Then this morning, I found something pretty cool for those of you who don't have access to a puzzle, AND you can do it with your friends that you can't physically be near! Ravensburger creates real life puzzles & games that you can buy & have shipped to your home. Or, you can try a virtual puzzle for free!
There's a couple different options. The first is to start your own puzzle from over 100 images to choose from. From there, you can choose to have the puzzle be anywhere from 20 - 500 pieces. So this is a great option for the kiddos as well!
After you create your room, you'll be presented with your Puzzle Room. From there, it's pretty self explanatory. Start working on your puzzle! But if you'd like to work on a puzzle with other people, skip that step & join an already in progress active game. Here, you will work with other people trying to pass the time as well.
Unfortunately, you can't start a private game & invite your friends & family, but if you all go to an Active Game together, get a Zoom or Facetime going, you can all chat & have a little fun!
