Albany is set to host the largest Fourth of July celebration in the Capital Region, featuring the Pop 2000 Tour at the Empire State Plaza. The event, scheduled for Thursday (July 4), will run from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and promises a nostalgic throwback to the early 2000s with performances by Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC, O-Town, LFO, and Ryan Cabrera.

The Pop 2000 Tour, hosted by Kirkpatrick, will bring high-energy hits and boy band nostalgia to the main stage. O-Town, known for their hit "All or Nothing," LFO, famous for "Summer Girls," and Ryan Cabrera, who rose to fame with "On the Way Down," will entertain attendees with their popular songs from the early 2000s.

The celebration will also include a variety of food vendors offering diverse cuisines, from Caribbean dishes to donuts, and interactive activities for families. The night will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display, as reported by Empire State Plaza's official website.

Since 1976, the Office of General Services has collaborated with Price Chopper/Market 32 to provide free family fun and entertainment for the community.
