Why Most People Put on Mascara With Their Mouth Open

It's been a phenomenon that mascara users know all too well and now has an answer. We now know why most people open their mouths when they put on mascara or put their contacts in!

According to body language experts the phenomenon is a subconscious action that we all do to help lessen the pain if we accidentally poke our eye. It's kind of like a "pre-wince."

At the same time there is a biological reason as the nerves that control your eyelids and mouth to open and close are right next to each other so they may cross-fire.

Now that you've probably realized you do this all the time we dare you to keep your mouth closed the next time you put on mascara or take your contacts out!
